Why Coverage Matters
Coverage is not just a marketing map. It determines how fast we get on site, how much the visit costs, and whether your engineer ever has to explain why a same-day dispatch turned into a same-week dispatch. We publish the rules so there are none of those calls. Every covered metro reaches all GrossGate services — Remote Hand on-site work, Expert Now specialist sessions, and any of our Solutions engagements that touch your floor.
01
Local Engineers
Our pool lives in your metro, not on a plane. Lower dispatch latency, lower travel cost, fewer time-zone hand-offs — the engineer who shows up has done a hundred jobs in the same building blocks as yours.
02
Same Standard, Every City
Same SLA, same certification bar, same reporting format wherever you operate. The portal looks identical in New York and Portland; so does the photo report and the sign-off checklist.
03
Transparent Regional Pricing
Costs vary by metro for honest reasons — labor, parking, transit, and access. We publish the multiplier up front; nothing surprising shows up at invoice time.
Where We Operate

Regional Cost Coefficients
Visit price is computed as the base rate multiplied by a regional coefficient. Three tiers cover every metro we operate in; the coefficient appears on every quote and every invoice line item, never bundled.
1.125×
Tier 1 — NYC Metro
Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, plus the New Jersey side: Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken. Highest density, highest labor and overhead, hardest parking and transit in the country.
1.0625×
Tier 2 — California Premium Metros
San Francisco Bay Area (the city plus Silicon Valley) and the Greater Los Angeles basin (LA County plus Orange County). Reflects the parking, transit, and engineer-cost premium specific to those two regions.
1.000×
Default Tier
Every other covered metro: Seattle, Portland, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and more. Standard rate, standard SLA, no surprise multiplier.
How We Engage
01
Submit
Enter your site address; we map it to the closest engineer pool and confirm coverage tier in seconds — before any commitment.
02
Quote
Visit price = base rate × regional coefficient. Every line item disclosed before dispatch — no after-the-fact mileage surcharges, no after-hours premiums hidden in fine print.
03
Dispatch
Engineer arrives within the metro’s SLA window. Live status in your portal so your team can supervise remotely or step away as the work allows.
04
Report
Photo plus checklist report at sign-off. Invoice posts the same day with the regional multiplier explicitly broken out as its own line.
